Number8 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Do any members here that tend to have special insights know if there will be a "Special" model for 2015? If so, have there been any hints about what it might be? (Please say "Prospect with mini hums".)

If so, have there been any hints about what it might be? (Please say "Prospect with mini hums".) While it's not an extended run I've heard that a few "H-150 Deluxe Bursts" loaded with Throbaks and some other very special appointments may be making themselves available. and there's also the highly anticipated 30th Anniversary Prospect with mini Hums!!!
Number8 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 "and there's also the highly anticipated 30th Anniversary Prospect with mini Hums!!!" Bless your heart for saying so....

He's kidding The short answer is; Maybe?? A little talk about a 30th model. Nothing is certain. I wouldn't bet on minis though. They tend to work from a 50s and 60s template. I'm sorry.... They would be happy to make your Prospect dream come true though
peterbright Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 A special run of short scale no cutaway deblinged Super Eagles

I knew the minis would be a long shot and I know I could just order a custom job, but it wouldn't be as cool as a special edition.
HANGAR18 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 A lot of us want to know the answer to that question.
Gitfiddler Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 H150 Deluxe Burst with Throbaks? Hmmm...that shoulds like something Green Oak would throw together. Just sayin'...

A lot of us want to know the answer to that question. +1
brentrocks Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 they should definitely do a 30th ann headstock with the scroll like the 20th ann 150s and 535s....and they should do a special 12th fret marker Gibson is about to shoot themselves in the foot, Heritage needs to take this opportunity to really put some special out there to make people see where the real handmade guitars are made

davesultra Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Funny, I thought the H-157LE was an anniversary model. Not that they couldn't do another variation.
buzzy Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Funny, I thought the H-157LE was an anniversary model. Not that they couldn't do another variation. You know, I had that idea as well and I think it came from associating a 30th Anniversary thread with the Limited Edition thread. They were both running around the same time. I hadn't thought about it after getting the guitar. Anyway, my 25th Anni has a 2011 serial number if that has meaning.

Spectrum13 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Millennium Double Cut with Staple P90's Don't think that would work. Staples need to be pretty low due to the magnets power. Powertrons?
gpuma Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 My vote goes for a bright orange Mille DC with double florentine cut and no f-holes
jimsoloway Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I understand that they're working on a special edition H575 with a 25.5" scale length, thinner body, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, X bracing, no fingerboard markers, and a single top mount humbucker. Very limited production though

Very limited production though I bet it will come with a banner inlay on the headstock that will read 1 of 1?
Redsand Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 This may be old news but I'm suddenly realizing that 2015 isn't actually going to be the 30th anniversary at all considering the 25th anniversary models were created in 2011. This may be old news but I'm suddenly realizing that 2015 isn't actually going to be the 30th anniversary at all considering the 25th anniversary models were created in 2011. Upon further review......I'm just plain wrong about 2011.
