My 18" Johnny Smith is a rose natural. When I first opened the case I was startled. I had seen rose naturals before, but this one was unmistakably rose tinted, more than the others. The pix will give you an idea, but the lighting isn't best to show it The first pic shows it against the usual antique natural.

Anyway, last night I took the pickguard off and saw something strange. I take this to mean that a little more "rose" was added.

I'm intrigued by that pickup. Does it have a conventional baseplate and magnets located on top?

I love that after 100s of hours of craftsmanship and the finest materials making the most beautiful object imaginable, they use two pieces of rough cut duct tap to hold the wiring. Form follows function, I guess.

what a stunner.

the 16 looks puny next to the JS.

That's a lovely looking guitar you have there!

I love the extra pink on it. It makes it even more of a rose :)

Absolutely gorgeous :)

It's a Floating #3. I've never disassembled one. It's definitely a low output, probably Alnico minus 5s.
