Gitfiddler Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Not in the market for a new amp, (Trying to remain GAS free!) but check out the quality of Redplate TweeyVerb's demo video. IF I was in the market, I'd check out one of Redplate's fine products based on their demo. http://www.redplateamps.com/tweedyverb.html
hinesarchtop Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 A few months ago I heard Lloyd Jones playing a Redplate that he had specially made and it really sounded great.
rockabilly69 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Nice demo, I like that you can directly compare the humbucket tone to the single coil tone.
koula901 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I really like the Mode switch on that, with the flexibility to choose between black/brown/tweed sounds. It seems to me to be the distinguishing feature of this amp. Hell, if I had $2500 to drop, I'd get it. I like it's nice small, compact size, too.
212Mavguy Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 IMHO Red Plate is pretty tough to beat for their combo amps. Grab and go heaven…Their stuff is really really nicely built with great parts quality. 2500-3500 bucks is huge coin…but in this case you get what you pay for. Just like a new Heritage guitar. It's an appropriate way to amplify one. Not excessive in any way, just appropriate expression of the wood and steel ignited by passionate minds. Boutique amps for boutique guitars! Boutique guitars for boutique amps!
mark555 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 That guy playing can have a slot in my band any time he wants. I really nice sounding amp that makes both guitars sound good.
