bolero Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 pickups sound great!! I just noticed, there is a tape echo device built into the bottom of that amp?? how cool is that! I hope it has a cover I'd be a bit wary of an open tape loop down there
NoSnowBlower Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 You saw them here first, and in a Heritage.
RSquared Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I think I've just heard the P 90's for the G&L neck and the Chapman ML-1 Bridge. The hotter Arcane PX 100's are good but I prefer the sounds of the Throbak P 90's. Warmer, jazzier sound from Throbak's. Is it the magnets where they get that sound from? Lot of research into this because of the guitars need for higher output p/u's. I know the sound I want but its difficult to find.
indravayu Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Throbak's sound great, but are ridiculously overpriced, IMHO. They are like the Gibson Custom Shop of boutique pickups, haha.
brentrocks Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 i believe Jon gives a 20% discount to HOC members
