Has anyone used these PUPs in a Millie? (or at all) I have a set coming in that I was going to put in my S-G. But I currently have a set of Pearly Gates in my Millie DC . It seems to have a harsh top end to it. I know I like the PGs in the S-G so I was thinking of maybe putting the BBs in the Millie. Any opinions?

For what it's worth I had a LP with BB 5s in it before. I once thought I'd swap out the pickups to, you know, "upgrade" it.

I tried gibson vintage dirty fingers and dimarzios, but ended up putting the BBs back in because they sounded best.

I also had a guitar with t-tops at the time. To me the BBs sounded better.

I'd gladly swap a set of Seth Lovers if you don't like them!

I'll swap a set of BB's for a set of Seths. I have an extra set of BB's.

Personally I prefer SD pickups, you are entering into my world... I have experimented with pickups heavily! Can be an expensive habit!

Those pearlys are similar output to Seths but potted and they have a rawer tone! In my opinion the harshness in Millies is due to the construction, Maple cap and back, Ebony board... I believe these combinations give the guitar its clarity!

I have a set of BB (1&2) in a Gibby R8. They sound excellent. I suspect they'd sound great in a Millie too.

I think you are correct on the construction being the reason that it has a bright tone. I thought that the PGs were designed to have more bite/growl to them. Thought the BBs might mellow that out a bit.
