brentrocks Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 There are people in SW MI that dont even realize Heritage is still in business, let alone, nationwide.
Millennium Maestro Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 In that video he was using hormones... That"s why the Buck attacked... remember that from several years ago
Dick Seacup Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I was there yesterday, talked with Ren, Bill and Marv. They are doing just fine with lots of work. Great place to go visit too. I am guilty of getting a kick out of that massive headstock thread from, what, three? four years ago? What a riot. There are people in SW MI that dont even realize Heritage is still in business, let alone, nationwide. That is sad to the point of being almost depressing. Heritage is--well, should be--one of Michigan's crown jewels. A real Cinderella story. I know beer is sexy, but Heritage should get the same press and recognition that Bell's does. I wonder who I know at Pure Michigan... Edit to add: I'm not talking about advertising in an attempt to drive sales. I don't think they want that anyway. What I'm talking about is marketing, which is a completely different beast.
md54 Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 I would love to visit Heritage but I live in England so it's a major trip. (IMHO the headstock is an issue. The bigger design is ugly). Enough said! Very pleased to hear the organisation is in good health. Long may it continue.
big bob Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 We brought this on ourselves! We should have known if we went down to the bridge and made a lot of noise we would inevitably wake up a troll!
ridethatbike Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Get Taylor Swift to play one. Does she even play the guitar anymore or just a laptop?
yoslate Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Does she even play the guitar anymore or just a laptop? This is really good...on just so many levels!
Vanschoyck Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 This is really good...on just so many levels! Oh, be nice!
smaj Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Heritage is going strong, I will say this though, I HAVE to sell a Heritage, Gibson's sell themselves. I find this sad, but true. Have converted many though.
schundog Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 OK, you guys asked for it; You have angered Young Taylor..... Get Taylor Swift to play one. Does she even play the guitar anymore or just a laptop? This is really good...on just so many levels!
ridethatbike Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 ermmagawd...I had to listen to some real music to purge my ear holes of Ms. Swift. Dangit Schundog! ;-)
gpuma Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Put the video on and immediately my 6 years old daughter started dancing and singing. That was precious! I guess everything has a function
brentrocks Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 How many times have we heard that rumor. if I had a dollar for every time somebody asked me if Heritage was in trouble or going out of business........ well....... I would buy a new LE H157
peterbright Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 The real question is: "Why do they start those rumors?"
brentrocks Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Although, with the pending sale of 225, there could be some location issues coming for Heritage. They do not own that building. They rent that space.
Hfan Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I was in the Gibson van at the Chicago Bluesfest and when I mentioned Heritage all they could respond with was "Gone over to the dark side have you?" Heritage will never do the volume of Gibson, but what they do, they do better. This is the dark side:
Hfan Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 This thread is like the headstock thread. It comes around once a year and usually incites a riot. Haven't you heard? We can now make fun of Gibson's headstocks.. not that we would lower ourselves to that level..
Gitfiddler Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 This is the dark side: That image of Les Paul makes him look like Chairman Mao Tse Tung!!
Blunote Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 But that image is under the clear coat. And that, so I'm told, makes it ever so special.
