Well, after much internal debate on what model to get for my very first Heritage guitar (have only owned Heritage amps thus far), I finally decided to go with a beautiful looking 2014 H150CM in Almond Burst from Wolfe Guitars.

As a life-long Gibson player, I am very impressed by the 2014 H150CM's specs:

1 piece Honduran Mahogany body

Michigan Maple deep dish carved top

Nitro finish

M.O.Pearl inlays

Long Neck Tenon

CTS control pots

TonePros bridge & stop bar

Grover- adjustable for tension- tuning keys

Seymour Duncan's most popular set- model 59's

Now I just have to plod through the tortuous waiting week while it slowly makes its way from Florida to California!

Thanks - it's going to be a rough week, haha!

I forgot to add to my OP that this baby only weighs 8.5 lbs!

That's a great looking 150.. with some fine specs crafted in Kalamazoo. With a fine top and warm finish, it will be a pleasure to behold and to play.

It'll be a joyous day when it arrives ... enjoy!

Many of us have longed for a Gibson. Now Heritage offers a high quality, hand made, customizable option. You did good on your first Heritage purchase...amps notwithstanding.

Play it in good health...once she arrives here on the 'left coast'.

A real beauty for your first Heritage. What are thinking about for your second?

Well, I need to find a way to make more money than I currently do - but let's say I get a windfall - then I would like a Black Beauty H157 and an H357.

Great first and second choice.

What are you getting after the 535?

Has to be a 535, haha!

Wonderful...wait until you get an Eagle.

You are officially addicted!

Haha, maybe!!

Weird thing is, despite being interested in Heritage for the past 7 or so years, I never had a chance to play one in a store until a couple weeks ago (a Kahuna at GC Hollywood) - and I loved it! That allayed my fears that a Heritage was somehow lesser than a Gibson (as I mentioned above, I am a diehard, lifelong Gibson player and fan).

Now I want to play them all!

Your guitar reminds me of my newest Heritage, it is spec'd very similiarly although mine came with Pearly Gates pickups. I also bought mine from Wolfe.

Looks gorgeous! Congratulations and welcome to the dark side :)

So, when will you start selling your Gibsons then? ;)

Oh, I already did that! I went through a rough patch with my finances earlier this year and sold off all my 6-strings, with the exception of my Tele. Now that I have rebounded a bit, I am building my collection back up, starting with the Heritage.

My new baby is finally here, hooray!! She's a real looker and I am tweaking the action, truss rod and pickup height to get her just right.

My only gripe - I don't really like the Seymour Duncan 59's - way too mid-heavy and wound too hot for me (had to really lower them down to get a decent tone, but still not to my liking). Easy fix, though - I was planning on upgrading to something else anyway.

'59ers mid heavy??? I'd say mine are (too) mid scooped. Anyway, personal taste and nothing what can't be solved relatively easily. Enjoy your new axe!
