NoSnowBlower Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 AWESOME set. I really like THAT one. Big kid stuff!!!
Steiner Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 That has got to be the most inviting photo of guitars I have Ever seen! Nice shootin' Tex!
MartyGrass Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Nice! Could you provide a close up shot, Tex?
peterbright Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 I'll try a close up tonight. Just got a new camera yesterday (Sony Alpha NEX-50) and still learning how to use it properly.
DOGBOY Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I'll try a close up tonight. Just got a new camera yesterday (Sony Alpha NEX-50) and still learning how to use it properly. Looks great Peter, could you post a company name or link with that picture as well please.
peterbright Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 I'll look for it. It was an ebay make an offer deal. I took his stock size which is smaller than the original one. It is made of rosewood and is thicker than the standard ad well. I went to Lowes and bought some #4 machine screws 1/2" long and nuts to secure it.
peterbright Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 The guy's ebay id is bruceweiart. S just search for archtop pick guard. I just sent him a question about making diffetent sizes. I will report on what he says.
peterbright Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 The ebay seller responded that he would be happy to make custom pick guards.
rockabilly69 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I wasn't sure I liked it till I blew up the pic of your guitar. I think it looks pretty good!!! I prefer guitars with pickguards, and that guitar of yours looks like something I could make music with!
Guitarbean Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I actually really like you having no binding on the neck btw - thought I preferred it but now that I stare at it, I get where you're going.
peterbright Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 I like the looks of binding on necks but not the feel. It also saves bundles of money.
jimsoloway Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 The ebay seller responded that he would be happy to make custom pick guards. The full size picture didn't really get me but now that I see it up close with all the detail, I'm definitely fan.
FredZepp Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 That was a great find... a finishing touch that incorporates nicely with the instrument.
