rockabilly69 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Cool video Yep I love that vid. The guitar licks, and specifically the tone, in the first half of that video were awesome, I wished the horns would just bow out and let it be just guitar, hammond, bass and drums.

Guest HRB853370 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Love the pearly buttons. That guitar reaks CLASS all the way. So how long will you keep it?
davesultra Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Hey Dave!! How wide is the not on your 157? I just measured mine and my nut is an inch and three-quarter. Mine is 1.67" (42.48mm) end to end. 1.36" (34.72) E to E.
Gitfiddler Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 What do ya'll think of the pearl buttons? Nice buttons, Brent, but do you think these old dudes will approve?
brentrocks Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Mine is 1.67" (42.48mm) end to end. 1.36" (34.72) E to E.I don't have a set of calipers. I just used my trusty fat max.
davesultra Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Now that's interesting! What's the string spread at the bridge? Dr. Mark, if I measured correctly (most likely didn't), I came up with 2.09 (53.20mm) at the bridge E to E.
brentrocks Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Nice buttons, Brent, but do you think these old dudes will approve? Heck yeah!!!!
davesultra Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I don't have a set of calipers. I just used my trusty fat max. My StewMac String action gauge is pretty chewed up, so I enlisted the help of my trusty Harbor Freight digital calipers. Hey, I bought the damn things it's high time I actually used them for something right!!
MartyGrass Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Nice buttons, Brent, but do you think these old dudes will approve? Old dudes?? I'm guessing they're younger than you, sir.
