MartyGrass Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I don't have a set of calipers. I just used my trusty fat max. You're not measuring your nut with a part of your anatomy, are you sir?

MartyGrass Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Dr. Mark, if I measured correctly (most likely didn't), I came up with 2.09 (53.20mm) at the bridge E to E. It's official. You have a normal guitar, nut to bridge. The string spread averages 2.0 inches on Les Pauls.
brentrocks Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 You're not measuring your nut with a part of your anatomy, are you sir? I can't see that well
davesultra Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 What do ya'll think of the pearl buttons? Nice knobs. I think my guitar has enough pearl though, I'm sticking with the factory gold buttons. It's official. You have a normal guitar, nut to bridge. The string spread averages 2.0 inches on Les Pauls. Well at least my guitar is normal, don't know if I can say the same 'bout the guy playing it.
DetroitBlues Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I like the buttons. Great job. Maybe you can keep one in the stable on a long term basis.
brentrocks Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 don't know if I can say the same 'bout the guy playing it. Shoot! If I was as good a player as my gear, I would be touring with Slash.

brentrocks Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Now that's interesting! What's the string spread at the bridge? 2 1/16
yuominae Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 What do ya'll think of the pearl buttons? That's what it was missing! Looks awesome Brent
Gianluca Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 hm, not in love with the perl buttons I'd have kept them as they were, please do not get me wrong, that guitar is a culture milestone(at least to me) I think it should be kept as the handcrafters made it but I'm a bit biased here because that guitar as its originl late 1953 first production/introduction(if I'm not wrong) is my favorite solid body of all times very valuable to be kept as is for the future(s) to come
RJLII Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Nice! I've always been partial to that version of a Les Paul Custom too.
davesultra Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Brent or me??? Was actually referring to me! However, I wouldn't want either of you to feel left out. So yeah, you're both a bit off too!
peterbright Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 You guys are cracking me up this AM. Stop that. Not sure if I would change anything if I had it.
yoslate Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Not sure if I would change anything if I had it. Nice...the universal application of this. Love a vague pronoun, in just the right spot!
