samwheat Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I takes me about 3.5 days to build one from scratch. My tools are a drill press. a cordless drill, some punches, a small hacksaw. 25w iron and some hand tools. I used to have a separate room years ago with work benches but I build this one on top of a cardboard box that a Avatar 2x12 came in. Here is my 18W variant. http://s49.photobucket.com/user/samwheat/media/IMAG0560.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2 http://s49.photobucket.com/user/samwheat/media/IMAG0559.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3 http://s49.photobucket.com/user/samwheat/media/IMAG0561.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1 And boards for a JTM 45 and High gain http://s49.photobucket.com/user/samwheat/media/IMAG0562.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 The 18W sounds better than those All my tubes come from ebay including GEC KT66's for the 45 ... the good stuff

samwheat Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 I find it very hard to get value out of youtube clips.

That sounds like speed dating for an amp whisperer. Cool stuff!
samwheat Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Thanks for the compliments. I wanted to start a business years ago but didn't and with the lousy economy today its not worth it. I make them for my own pleasure. Alot of the schematics out here have errors and I change thing in them to make them sound good.
