Millennium Maestro Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Two volumes on each side of the toggle, just below the toggle is the master tone, The other is the phase roll off. Will look for an instructional link for you to the Dvip
Ffking Posted December 5, 2014 Author Posted December 5, 2014 I found the instructions for the dvip. Not sure what exactly in and out of phase stuff means so I will most likely just play around with it and see how it sounds. Drops the bass and mids maybe. As I understand, The guitar basically has one master volume and one master tone control. The other two pots control the in/out phase of each pickup. The left toggle is for phase, bucker. Coil tap on the neck pickup and the right is for the bridge in the same function. I was kinda hoping for two volume pots so I could flip the pickup selector and go from clean to distortion, but it's no big deal. I'll play around and see if I will ever use the phase switches.

Ffking Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Thanks for the video. A few days later and this thing is pretty nice. It feels better or as good as any of the gibson standards or traditional pros that I have played in the last month or so. Setup is great and it is just easy to fret. It feels substantial and has a more vintage look about it even though it is only a 2002. I am doing something that is causing discomfort in my right shoulder. It comes about fairly early and I've never really experienced it when playing my strat, although I have had the same type of experience when going from an OM guitar to a dred. I'll have to pay more attention to my posture and see if I can relax my shoulder a bit or something.
musicianandteacher Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Hi TalismanRich, I have just bought a 2004 Goldtop H140 and would LOVE a copy of the photo with the gold top H140 in it to add to the collection - do you have it electronically or could scan & post it here? Brian. If that one is a 2002, then it is an H150, not a 140. Its got the Venetian rounded horn, not the sharp Florentine cutaway of the 140. I don't remember when the second edition of the 140 came out, but it was much later than that. In 2003, they were still in the first version. I have a 2005 catalog with the picture of a 140 gold top with the sharp cutaway horn. A dead giveaway (besides the inside of the control cover) will be the body thickness. The rim thickness of the H150 is 2 inches, the H140 is 1.5 inches.
HANGAR18 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Price is very subjective to both you and the seller. Used H-150s sell average around $1100 - 1250 Just inserting my opinion here... I think that $1200.00 - $1500.00 is a normal selling price for a normal used H-150 in great condition on the open market. Sellers on this forum often seem to post asking prices which are below the market value, similar to selling a guitar at trade-in value in order to make a quick sale. Big picture, they usually sell for a little more outside of the HOC.
