How Many Heritages Have Been Built?

This is a total guess, but I've heard from somewhere that they put out about 4 a day (don't know if it's accurate at all), and if that has been fairly constant, that's about 1000 a year for about 30 years, the math is easy, 30K guitars. :)

Would say far less then that. I have asked the Heritage gang several times at past PSP's how many guitars a month do they put out and consistently the answer is around 40 a month. Mostly overseas. In the early years probably less and they lost about a year with the fire a few years back. My guess would be 12k-15k.

You have to calculate that they don't work more than 4 days per week and a lot less during hunting season.

Not only is that information I didn't have, but it's pretty funny too!

I'll bet Heritage couldn't tell us either. ;^)

I think Brent should be the quality control inspector for all Heritages leaving the factory, to include a spot on the sensational YouTube channel "Brent's Guitar Emporium"....

Oh yes please! And that'd save Brent a pack of money as well :D

Occasionally play the lottery, and would pay cash for Heritage, if I won. Would give all employees a 15% raise, and always raise prices on the guitars at half of Gibson's increase, to widen the $ difference. Would beg Pete to come back anytime he'd like to make a few extra $. All employees would come in to work whenever they felt like it, and paid accordingly, and I'd add Friday as a workday, since you can come in whenever you felt like it. All posters on this thread who'd want to work for Heritage would be hired and shown how to do every part of building a guitar. Would keep all beancounters out, and emphasize keeping Heritage the best guitar value. All employees could order a free guitar for themselves every five years. Would encourage all tourists who come in for a $5 tour to play sample guitars. Thus, a few guitars would be made that were not ordered.

Would not trade or sell my 1998 H-550 with CC pickup, for anything. Haven't seen another Heritage in Bloomington, IN in the twelve years I've lived, and played, here, though people are always asking about my 550. Would keep the dealers really happy, and stay out of the big chains. As long as at least a half dozen of a guitar model were sold during each year, I'd keep it in production. Would resume acoustic models.- Dreamin' On, Charles

May we see a pic of your 550?

The moderator offered to help, in the past, but his explanation of how to send a pic only confused me more. Going to go to a tech-heavy friend who knows how to do this. It's the one that Pete Moreno refinished in '12, though there was nothing wrong with the ACB finish. I was just tired of the color. Pete fixed minor things like interior cracks, replaced the tuners, and finished it like a mix of almond burst and antique burst, with the burst part kind of faded. Will send it as soon as I see my friend. He'll probably want a free lesson, but it'll be worth it.- Charles

I so hope you'll win the jackpot soon!

Great plan Charles! If my Illinois lottery dream comes through, I'm in! Oh, gotta play to win. Every time I don't buy a ticket I figure I won.

Might have to make an exception, now that there's a plan!
