bobmeyrick Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 When a friend of mine was looking to move this Heritage H575 on, he asked if I knew of anyone who might be interested... :-)It was a case of one in, two out as I traded a mid 90s Fender USA 52 Re-issue Tele and a Strat parts-caster for the Heritage. I do like a bit of flamed maple, and the finish is Antique Natural. I've re-strung it with D'Addario Chromes (11-50) flatwounds, lowered the action slightly and adjusted the height of the Schaller pickups - the sound, as Louis Balfour (fictional character from the BBC's "Fast Show") might say, is "Niiiiiice"...
Gitfiddler Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Bobby, you did good on that trade!! That looks like it has the 'choice wood' upgrade. Is it an early 90's model?
bobmeyrick Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 Bobby, you did good on that trade!! That looks like it has the 'choice wood' upgrade. Is it an early 90's model? It's an "O" serial number, so 1998. For some reason beyond my control, a link has been added to "Antique Natural"...
big bob Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 That's what mine started out as. Great finish on that one!
TalismanRich Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Nice bit of horse trading you did there. Its an excellent looking 575 you have in your stable now
tonedeaf Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Nice trade. Wish I could make one like that -- even a 3 or 4 to 1 trade. I gotta get rid of some guitars. That said, you may have to let me have a long term loan on your 575 as it is a PERFECT pairing for my 535 natural!!!
yoslate Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Nice, Bob! That finish is very kind to flame maple, and it gets only better with age!
Hfan Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Congrats Bob, I'm partial to Antique Natural as well.
Steiner Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Oh Baby! NICE snatch! That guitar should only deepen your love for Heritage. Congrats.
rockabilly69 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 A beauty of a H575 right there! CONGRATS!!!
