I am looking to build my second guitar and I really want a tiger eye top on my H 150 but I get the vibe that may be hard to do. Does anybody have any thought or ideas that could help?

Try to find a photo of what you are looking for and send it to the factory. If you decide to go with it, I bet they hit it out of the park.

There have been some similar to a tiger eye done before. It just needs more contrast perhaps...

If you relayed the request in detail with lots of examples , they might do it...

What pickups are in the middle one? Are they white or cream? I like that look.

Here's another... I was trying to find a pic of the 150 that MM (Guy) had at PSP that was refinished... that one has a really nice Tiger Eye/ Boneyard type finish... haven't found a pic of that one yet..

Fred that is my Burnt Amber Ultra 150.... the color is more brown and no where near a Tiger effect.

The other guitar pictured colors appear to be Antique Amber.

Heritage does not really have a Tiger finish, wish they did. Here is my Refin!

I really like how the headstock turned out!

most of the "tiger eye" finishes I have seen involved some level of staining to enhance the difference between the different parts of the grain.

Very true.

Carvin does a great job with their enhanced finishes. They really pop.

GREAT SHOT and love the finish, remind me of the Joe Perry Boneyard guitar

Wow. I will be downloading lots of these pics for screen saver eye candy...I just love saving my screen....and having people at work ask, "Is that yours?" . . . though I never claim anyone else's guitar to be my own...I am just a guy trying to save my screen..... When the boss (or spouse) is around, I say, "well I just have one." .....(did I say that?)

I agree with the comment previously noted - just ask the factory what they can do. Send them a pic of what you are looking for....You or your favorite dealer can do that. I have been privileged to have a couple of guitars who others special ordered with all kinds of "first time" requests...and they did them. Go for it. you only live once - this time. Nothing like Tiger eyed, striped, etc wood.
