The headstock shape will depend on the year of manufacture. The 1989 catalog shows the Gumby headstock and the 1992 shows the conventional Heritage shape.

I prefer the standard Heritage headstock over the Gumby headstock.

For me... a Parsons Street with the regular headstock instead of the Gumby just looks wrong. I think that's from years of ogling the one in the prototype room. The unique headstock had a real wow factor.

And, of course, mine is a genuine Gumby version.... ha...

I'm not sure if I'd call it a "Wow" factor but maybe the "WTF" factor is more precise.

Yeah... I know some feel the same way about the Centurion headstock also. Unique , Odd and unexpected.

There is a classic look to that because of the scroll headstock design taken from F-type Mandolins.. its a rather inspirational headstock to me.

Or a Flying V with one:)

Now that's a body shape I'm really surprised Heritage won't release. They have a stack of Gibby V bodies they could use. Put on a Heritage neck and we are good. I don't think Gibson has the body shape patented.

I haven't seen those... let's see a pic.
