Kuz
I used one for years with my passive piezo pickups in my acoustics then straight to the PA. I never used one with my electric guitars though..... That's what amps or modelers are for!!! LOL
Yooper
A Tech 21 Bass DI proved indispensable when my amp blew a fuse after taking a bump off the truck. Yeah, I learned the hard way to carry extra fuses.

Mikenov
The radial one I bought from Brent last year is pretty fantastic. I got the two channel one but I have played through the single channel version and it rocks. Being able to have a boost on the floor is super handy too. http://www.tonebone.com/pzpre.php
