barrymclark
So... I am planning my approach to recovering my amp cab and there is one part that I am particularly concerned about. With the weirdness in the bottom rear of the cab, one of my approaches (really the only viable approach without tons of seams) would only leave me 5/8" flat surface before hitting the curve. Is that long enough for a good grip?
kbp810
It was covered once before, don't see what would prevent it from being covered once again. Are you going to do the covering yourself?
barrymclark
It was covered once before, don't see what would prevent it from being covered once again. Are you going to do the covering yourself? Well, I am doing it differently. Gibson's amp wrap job was just attrocious. There isn't anything I'd want to repeat. That's why I am trying to see if I can get the tolex to grip on 5/8" worth of real-estate along the edge. I am supposing that I would if I let it set enough. kbp810
Shouldn't have any issues, just might need to do something like tack up the glue first and then either hold it until it sets or use some tape to hold it down (if applicable). Good luck! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
