DetroitBlues Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Despite the annoying time I had on Saturday night, some positive things came out of it... My Marshall DSL 40C was up against a super loud Fender Front Man 2x12 150 watt solid state amp and a Line 6 Spider IV. The amp held its own. While at first I had a hard timing hearing it, I realized it was more or less the frequency being lost in the mix. Once I added my chorus pedal, it changed the tone for the better and both the overdrive clean channel and the super lead channel stood out. Master volume was about 11 o'clock. I never dimed anything. In a band situation, the amp did sound really good. It was nice to turn it up.
