Shoman Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Just purchased a Heritage H-127 in Red lacquer. From what I've been able to find out this is 1 of 30. 1986 double humbucker. If anyone here has had one or knows of them please tell me what you think or what you know. Thanks.
DetroitBlues Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Very nice. Was that the one on Reverb for the longest time?
Gitfiddler Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 There are a few H-127's in the HOC Gallery, owned by members, but these are extremely rare models: Also, HOC member, Victor Dvorak has a sunburst 127:
Shoman Posted July 13, 2015 Author Posted July 13, 2015 Hey Detroit Blues and Gitfiddler, Yep,, this is the one that was on Reverb for so long. I actually had it paid for and then the owner came back and found a scratch on the back that he was not aware of or did putting it in the case so We're still in the process so to speak. I saw it had been there a while but it looks pretty good. I've seen additional pics and talked by phone with the guy. He's a playing musician, 40+ years. Seems like an alright guy. Mine or the one soon to be mine is like the red one. That brown burst is a nice one too
Gianluca Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 interesting, what is the scale length on the H127s ?
DetroitBlues Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 interesting, what is the scale length on the H127s ? I'd assume its 25.5"...
DetroitBlues Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Also, HOC member, Victor Dvorak has a sunburst 127: I believe there is a great story behind that one and how it was rescued and refinished. It was at PSP a few years ago and quickly became a legendary Heritage after Randy (FXDX99) tore it up in the barn.... Beautiful guitar without a doubt.
brentrocks Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I made multiple offers on that....I hope you got for less than $1200
barrymclark Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Also, HOC member, Victor Dvorak has a sunburst 127: That is a NICE one! Love it!
bolero Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 congrats, that's nice! unique guitars, for sure it looks the same color as this blood orange san pellegrino stuff I have been drinking lately....does it say what finish color it is, on the tag?
DetroitBlues Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Its a shame is covered in such an opique color. Unless its mint, I'd say strip in and show of some mahogany wood grain goodness!
Kuz Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Don't listen to these guys .... love it and play it as it (I love the color) and don't worry what you paid for it. It's a great guitar, play it in good health, and play it often!!!

Hfan Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Coming from the pink tele guy....(former anyway). It was Salmon Kuz claimed...
Kuz Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Coming from the pink tele guy....(former anyway). Well, at least I kept it long enough for the finish to fade from Salmon to Creamsicle..... Sometimes that happens to guitars that you keep for 8 months or longer. Ah, that's right you wouldn't know about that.... Just saying.....

Kuz Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Yeah but isn't it for sale? So more like it's counting it's days!
Shoman Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Haha,, well it was a winding road but it should be here Tuesday. The fellow I purchased from seems nice enough. I got it for well under $1200.00. We settled on what I initially thought was a good price and then he was very fair when dealing from there for the scratch. I don't mind telling you guys the price I paid but hate to throw him under the bus if someone here had made him a higher offer. Unless the guitar is nothing like it was represented to be, I'm very happy with the price. I'll post up some new pics and let you know what I think when it gets here. Pretty nasty scratch but thank goodness it's on the back. I'm sure I'll have to polish it up, clean up the neck and frets, and new strings and setup. Can't wait. Can't tell by looking if that's wood I'm seeing or an undercoat. Guess I'll know shortly.
Gitfiddler Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Sounds like you and the seller are pleased with the outcome. The details are none of our business. Tuesday seems far off when waiting for something special like a cool and rare guitar!
