Custom Order Options

Hi guys, i'm new here.

I wanted to know what my options are when ordering a custom h-150.

Can there be a ebony veneer headstock, can the body be semi-hollow or at least chambered, can i want a one piece wraparound bridge, vintage looking yellow mop inlays maybe?

Also can i ask for a brazilian rosewood board?

I'm in Turkey and we have a dealer here that can order custom heritage guitars but i didn't wanna ask them because after all the questions and answers i won't be able to order it for another month.

Thanks in advance,

Onur.

Best to get with your dealer, so they can submit your idea to the guys at Heritage. Many of those things you've mentioned are available. However, they will not do a Brazilian board.

I emailed to the dealer about the ebony veneer, wraparound bridge and semi-hollow/chambered body.

But did anyone get any of these things before? Brazilian is not that importnat, i just thought as long as i'm ordering a custom one...

I don't think the yellow-ish mop inlays are available though, never seen a heritage like that.

who is your dealer? Some dealers will just assume certain things can't be done or don't want to mess with it. If I ever buy or do another custom I will order through Guy (Millinieum Mistro) or Paul. They will go to bat for you and be an advocate for the buyer (not just a pay check like some of the others).

Well, there is only one here in Turkey. Pluton Music.

I never heard anything bad about them and i did deal with them before without problems.

I asked them to ask heritage guys if they could be done, i'm sure they will contact heritage and ask. Hopefully.

They can make them with a type of chambering process which they designate as an LW model (I had a 170LW). I also had a couple of 150s' quoted recently which featured a wraparound bridge (they can do those). Not sure about the ebony veneer though.

That's good, so i'll just ask for a H-150LW and there are H-150s with the wraparound bridge. Veneer is not a dealbreaker either but i thought it would be cool.

Chambered body and one piece bridge, these are the important ones to me. I'll wait for my dealer's response then. Thanks for the answers.

You can also contact Wolfe Guitars in Jupiter, Florida to discuss/email your custom order. He's the largest Heritage dealer, has more custom orders than others and ships worldwide.

Thanks a lot. I really don't wanna deal with customs and shipping, it's a real problem in Turkey. If it's a pedal or something small like that, i just do it myself but buying a guitar international is not easy here.

I don't see a reason why they wouldn't do an ebony headstock, although I can't remember anyone else ordering one. They have done different one piece bridges, as on the H137. Brazilian rosewood would probably not be worth the trouble, being a CITES restricted wood. Shipping across borders would be a major hassle and could easily result in a guitar being confiscated if all the paperwork is not in order.

One of our members, Yavuz, ordered a custom Millennium a while back. He's located in Istanbul. Here's a picture of what he ordered. He went with one pickup, and no fretboard inlays on his. I don't remember if he used the Turkish dealer or not.

I remember seeing this guitar on a Turkish forum but i don't know the guy, i dont know the story.

Brazillian is not a big issue at all but ebony headstock would be a very nice touch.

One piece bridge is a must, otherwise i would just go for a used H-150. That'll make the guitar special for me.

I ordered this guitar, it has a 150 body shape but is a semi-hollow build like their Millennium.

They do wrap tails and would probably do the ebony headstock but your dealer would have to verify.

Brazilian is probably not possible.

Wow, that looks great! Thanks for the input, i'm more hopeful about this now.

As soon as my custom shop strat is gone, i'll give this a start.
