Heritage H-140 Pickup Question

Hey Guys!

I am new to this site so...I have a question. What pickups were/are installed in the Heritage H-140

back in 1993. I bought it a year ago (it has a cherry sunburst finish and nice flame) for $750.

If anyone knows what pups they put in and what the resistance should be on the originals let me know.

Thanks.

Check the reverse side of the control cavity cover. It should include pickup details on your specific guitar.

Most likely they were Schallers. That's what was in my 87 H140. Mine measured 8.15 for the bridge and 7.45 for the neck pickup.

A dead giveaway is the use of two mounting screws per side which allows for the pickup to mount more securely and to be angled if desired.

Hmm not schallers and they res out at 8.0 and 7.40. I guess I will have to pop the pups and check em cause the

pickups rings are right for schallers but no double screws used just a single on each side

I will let you know.

Thanks

Are there 3 screw holes on each side of the pickup baseplate? If, so they're Schaller pickups. The Schaller plastic mounting rings are VERY prone to cracking. I usually replace the Schaller rings when they crack (which seems to happen 90+% of the time).

They are Duncans SN-1 and SB-1 on the back plate. What the heck are those?

My guess is that's our boys making up their own nomenclature. SN-1 = Seymour Neck; SB-1 - Seymour Bridge. Now, as to which pups they actually are, lordy knows. You may have to pull the pups to find out. Then again, could they be SH-1's but written poorly? We've seen that on S/Ns.
