MusicHyde Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Hi guys ! I've posted this a while ago (in 2009 when I got this guitar), but it has since faded away (the pic is not available anymore), but I was wondering if there are other H150's with a one piece top, and why mine has this odd (yet extremely beautiful and attaching) top. It seems to be pretty rare, anyone knows why my H150 is like that ? I have since this pic changed the stop tail for a more normal one, but kept the bridge. I'm from France btw.
DucRyder Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 if you look in the "Heritage Wood" thread you'll see a one piece top....
MusicHyde Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 Thanks ! Indeed, there's one guitar with a one piece top, doesn't seem to be a very frequent build, I'm wondering why though.
DetroitBlues Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Wood grain is hard to find that has a uniform or matched flame on either side. It takes a much wider piece of maple to produce it.. But there are some rare examples such as this H-140 from 1985....
