Hfan Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 So sorry to hear this news. I don't believe I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Moats on my plant tours in 2011 and 2012. Condolences to the family and I hope they take some comfort in the legacy he left behind in every Heritage (and Gibson I assume) guitar he was involved with.
Gitfiddler Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of JP Moats. RIP.

ElNumero Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 One of the "Original 3" founding members and a very nice man. RIP JP and prayers for your family. I assume that funeral arrangements are going to be in Alabama?
Millennium Maestro Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 An absolute shocker! I had hoped to cross paths with the Great JP! RIP
