I'll never forget the entrance he made at NAMM in Nashville a few years back....OMG.....he was one hip dude!

Only got to meet him the one time. Very integral to what we know as Heritage Guitars. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear this news. I don't believe I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Moats on my plant tours in 2011 and 2012.

Condolences to the family and I hope they take some comfort in the legacy he left behind in every Heritage (and Gibson I assume) guitar he was involved with.

I surely hope JP's family is aware of how many lives he has brightened through his years in this business. Sincerest condolences to his and the Heritage family.

One of the "Original 3" founding members and a very nice man. RIP JP and prayers for your family. I assume that funeral arrangements are going to be in Alabama?
