Polo Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Got together with some good friends last night for a simple jam and full blown burst shootout ensued: 4 Bursts, 4 totally different animals. It never ceases to amaze me how such relatively similar guitars can ultimately sound so much different from one another. While there were no actual winners and losers declared....we decided to give the LP guy a participation award for his adorable efforts. 1) '10 H-150 (24 of 25), SD 59 p/u's , Factory Wiring 2) '14 H-150 CM, Throbak DW-102b p/u's, Custom wiring 3) '15 H-150 CM, SD SH-18 Whole Lotta Humbucker p/u's, Jimmy Page wiring kit 4) '13 Gibson LP "Traditional", Gibson Classic 57 p/u's, Factory wiring '10 H-150 (24 of 25), SD 59 p/u's , Factory wiring '15 H-150 CM, Seymour Duncan SH-18 Whole Lotta Humbucker p/u's, Jimmy Page wiring kit '14 H-150 CM, Throbak DW-102b p/u's, Custom wiring '13 Gibson LP "Traditional", Gibson Classic 57 p/u's, Factory wiring

What a contrast between the JP wiring and the Throbak wiring. I know the JP wiring gives you some options, but forbid something should go wrong and you need to trouble shoot.
