Gitfiddler Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Rumors aside, I hope the best for Heritage Guitars! They have succeeded in placing very high quality guitars (archtops, semi's, solid bodies and custom orders) into thousands of players hands. To me, that is very important.
Yooper Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 This just in: Yooper announces exploratory considerations to buy Heritage. Determination has been found to be contingent on winning the lottery. Plans on hold.
DetroitBlues Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I've got my new Heritage on order, so I'm good.
JeffB Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 This just in: Yooper announces exploratory considerations to buy Heritage. Determination has been found to be contingent on winning the lottery. Plans on hold. In other news: After 30yrs of buying lottery tickets Tully is still waiting to win the big one or even a decent slice of it. Original plans even though long forgotten are still on hold.

FredZepp Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 When the "Heritage of Kalamazoo" is mentioned, it's easy to picture why the name fits. From the location it is located in, to the people and their history involved... or even the techniques and equipment used.. it's all part of the Heritage. But to hear the founders speak , they often recall the craftsmen that they admired and learned from when they first started working at Parsons Street. They were part of an elite group that took pride in what they crafted , starting with the early days at Parsons Street. The lessons and values learned from their mentors were an important part of the mystique of that old Gibson plant. And the chain remains unbroken as they mentor a new generation of skilled workers in that old plant. What changes are in store for Parsons Street in the near future..? It's hard to predict, but certainly the time is ripe with the many years of doing the same. And not all changes are necessarily for the worse. But then again... maybe they stay in their comfort zone and just keep doing what they do.. and that's ok too.

FredZepp Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Seriously Fred.....could you be any cooler of guy??? Ha... well, I DO love my Heritage guitars.. so that helps.
PunkKitty Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Jay has a good reputation. He is going to sell guitars. There's no need for arguing. We all know that the guys at Heritage aren't getting any younger. Learning that they are selling the operation would not surprise me at all. They have worked hard. They deserve a good retirement. Let's be thankful for the great guitars we have. And hope that when they sell the company, that another generation continues to make great guitars.
kbp810 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Is this true? I assume they're only referring to the annual November "deer camp" break
StephenK Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Great news! These guys have worked hard to start and build a buisness. I hope they where paid out well. I also would like to wish the new owner(s) much success. Peace...
