Tim Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 So, though I live in the Detroit area, I travel a lot to Cleveland. I noticed on the Cleveland CL that there is a guy looking to sell or trade several guitars including a White LP Supreme ($2300.00) and a White LP Custom ($2500). I emailed to see if he would be interested in trading for my H550 (which, of late, I haven't been playing much). So, he messages back and says, "he wouldn't be interested unless a substantial amount of extra cash was involved". Obviously, the Dude doesn't have a clue about Heritage guitars. If I were going to sell, I would be asking in the neighborhood of $2400 for my H 550. Long story short, I went down and played my H 550 and sort of rediscovered just how sweet she is! I love White LP Customs, but I am definitely hanging on to my H 550.
High Flying Bird Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 A buddy has a 550. I love that guitar.
pressure Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 It's happened to me and probably everyone that has a Heritage guitar. The thought is I haven't played this in awhile maybe I should trade it for something else? Then you take out your Fab Heritage guitar, play it again for the first time and realize it doesn't get any better than this! Problem solved... good times.
Stringman Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Tim: While I don't have a 550, I do have a 576 that doesn't get all that much playing time. I often find myself saying things like: "It's heavier than guitar XYZ" or "It's not the right kind of music for it" or "it's the wrong color". You get the idea, I just don't play it enough. Well, that changed Saturday night and I'm with you: I almost blew it!!! We have a yearly Jam in my town for guys that started out playing G&L guitars and have all moved on to other brands. I've owned my 576 for a number of years but have only played it at the Jam once, many years ago. So I took it this time and it was just killer. It has absolutely the best neck of any guitar I own and it sounded wonderful. Like you, I just need to play it more often. Stringman
pressure Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 And just after posting in this thread I went online and found a really nice 1995 Hamer Flame Maple Studio that I am going to trade my Heritage H160v for.

Stringman I certainly have some guitars that don't get played often enough, but my 576 comes out every day. I recently had a chance to play it against a well respected custom name guitar that cost over twice as much. The 576 spanked it.
tulk1 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I feel that way about all but 2 of my guitars. Don't use 'em, pull e'm out, wonder why they don't get played. Except for those two.
