tayfun Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Here is the my problem; When i go to local Luthier in here to change the bridge with the new one we realize that the pivot screw bearing not exactly sit in the body of the guitar. ( please check the attached photos). And if sit them properly to the body upper side of the pivot screw make a " V " not straight vertically. Please check the photo Thank you very much for your interest.
DetroitBlues Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 The bushing is coming out. You need to reseat it or replace the Scahller bridge, bushing, and post. If your luthier doesn't recognize this, you need to find one that knows what he is doing.
Polo Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Just another example of gold hardware causing trouble on an otherwise beautiful guitar......
tayfun Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Actually the problem looks like the drilled point is wrong The photos attached above are with the new schaller bridge and bushing. When the bushing fully seated to the guitar body bridge can't fit properly. Becouse upper end of the screws make "V" I sent 3 mail to heritage but still no answer:(

tulk1 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Just call them from the number 269-385-5721 and no answer. Actullay dont know if the number is wrong or it cause from the time difference with my country:s That is the correct number. They are in the US Eastern Time Zone, Greenwich Meantime -5 (I think). Best time is around 8am - 9am local time. Ask for Ren if you can get him.
tbonesullivan Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 The top of the guitar is carved/curved. You can't have them sit flush and still work. What kind of bridge was installed originally, and did it have this type of problem?
Kuz Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 TBone is right. With an arched top the bushings won't be completely flush with the top. You can try tapping them in with a hammer if you want to lower them a little.
