Wow, never knew the history, had assumed the model name was just a random designation. How many were made and do they ever pop up used? Probably unobtanium.

There's only one Centurion on the planet.

HOC legend has it that FredZepp and his friend Bilbo Baggins travelled halfway to Mordor to pick it up after seeing it on Ebay a few moons back.

I think if we are all completely honest, even with binding, the head stocks on the solidbodies/semi-solidbodies is not very visually appealing. Does it bother me for a second, NO. But do I ever look up at my 150s or 535/555 headstocks and say, "Dang, that sure is classy & pretty" ? NO.

It is more functional, but other lutheriers like Collins, McInturff, and Thornton have designed better looking "stings straight to posts" headstocks.

I am not being a Heritage headstock hater, I am just saying it could have been designed more visually appealing, but it doesn't bother me and certainly wasn't a deal breaker.

Thank you Internet, for convincing me that I don't like this sleek, functional design - NOT!

Identifiable as a Heritage even from the back

Heritage Spruce Prospect headstock, bound Ebony with pearl Heritage logo and Eagle. Just took this with my phone because my daughter still has my camera from

my sons graduation 2 weeks ago. Not that it would be a better picture with the camera but...

Again, I am not a Heritage headstock hater (I own 7 of them) but here are some examples of "straight through" headstocks that are just a little more refined and less-primative.

I am luck to have a McInturff & CP Thornton, and like Heritage headstocks they look better bound with inlay and in person.
