ldudziak Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I am looking at buying a H150 and see one for 1350 that isn't beat up. I am in no rush and am wondering what is a good price?
tulk1 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 That would depend on the year, and the guitar appointments. New ones are going for well over $2k. Recent build used are in the $1500 range. So, $1350 might not be out of line. Do you know anything about it you can share other than it's an H150?
davesultra Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 There are/were a couple of 150s floating around eBay and Reverb in that range. I'm of the opinion that $1350 is a "good" but not "great" price.
Millennium Maestro Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 With a New price of $3400 MSRP with case for a base model, $1350 is a steal. Prices seem to be increasing on Used models, I keep hearing people say they cant find the deals that were once around... You should be able to recover your money if you sell it. Have fun with your purchase.
ldudziak Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 Here is the guitar I am looking at has a nice flame finish without to much wear http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heritage-H-150-Les-Paul-Flame-Top-with-WCR-Darkburst-Pickups-/191775204225?hash=item2ca6b16381:g:XegAAOSwYIhWizQ7
Kuz Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 A good price is what you are willing to pay for a one-off hand made guitar. This is not directed at you, but there are many on this forum that obsess with the price they paid for a Heritage. It like a badge of honor that they talked a guy down $200 for a guitar. Yet when they want to sell a guitar they will bitch about the low ball offers they get. Pay what you think is fair, and what you are willing to pay, and then play the crap out of it.

I Love the guitars appointments. Very similar to a custom build I have in the works made out of White Limba

kidsmoke Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Beautiful axe, and I echo the sentiment that's been expressed. My brain says run, don't walk.

rwinking Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 "Yet when they want to sell a guitar they will bitch about the low ball offers they get." People actually sell their guitars?
brentrocks Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 remember the days when you could get a mint H150 for $1000 all day?
HANGAR18 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I am looking at buying a H150 and see one for 1350 that isn't beat up. I am in no rush and am wondering what is a good price? Finding one that isn't beat up for only $1350.00 is a good deal.
HANGAR18 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 "Yet when they want to sell a guitar they will bitch about the low ball offers they get." People actually sell their guitars? No, not anymore. The only way you can sell a guitar now is if you register as a dealer. (Just kidding. Tongue planted firmly in cheek.)
Gtwibs Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 That one's a fine price, but if you hang around here long enough you might get a beauty for around that or cheaper. I got my 150 last year from a local shop for $900. Yeah, it's a 94 and has lot's of little nicks, dents, and scratches, but there are no major issues and it plays and sounds great. If you're patient you might be able to find one in real good shape for 11-1200. On the other hand, guitar prices seem to only be going up these days, so don't wait too long to try and save just $100.

PunkKitty Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I'm thinking of selling mine. But only because I don't play it much. It currently has Mojotone hand wound '59 Clones with Throbak A4 magnets. I'll stick to the $1325 price + shipping via Paypal gift. I'm firm on that price. I'm not in a hurry. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/29872-fs-2002-heritage-h-150/
rwinking Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I woud go with PunkKitty's H150. She is a trustworthy seller around here.
brentrocks Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I woud go with PunkKitty's H150. She is a trustworthy seller around here. SHE IS THE BEST!!!
heritagefan7 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 You can't go wrong w/ such a great-well made guitar---it will do all that you need it to do and do it well for a very long time! +1 for Kitty!
PunkKitty Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I keep going back and forth with selling mine. I don't play it often. But it sounds so good when I do. Sorry. I just can't sell it right now.
