I picked up a couple of used mics (a Shure SM27 condensor and a Shure SM57) yesterday and I spent a bit of time experimenting with then in different configurations. This is played on my Heritage custom long scale H575 into a Gallien Kreuger MB200 Amp powering an Earcandy 1x10 Ethan ported cab with a Sure SM27 condenser mic on the guitar and an SM57 on the cab. I was going after a really "acoustic" vibe.

Really beautiful sound! I don't know much about the 575. Is it kind of like an L5? It has that wonderful full bodied arch top tone and I loved the combo of amp and guitar micing. Someone once told me that JIm Hall would go for the acoustic tone and then dial in just the right amount of amp to fatten it up.

The H575 is basically the Heritage version of the ES175 but with all solid woods and the neck pickup moved towards the neck into the more traditional position. Mine is a custom build and is really only a 575 in name and body outline. It has a 25.5" scale length (instead of 24.75), a 2.25" body thickness at the rims, a mahogany back and sides with a spruce top, a neck pickup only and different hardware. It's a wonderful guitar and I don't think they've ever built anything else quite like it.
