brentrocks Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I was having some tuning issues on the Stat last night after the string change. every time i laid on the Kahler, the G would go sharp. So i broke out the trusty chap stick and lubed the nut slots, worked it in and it seemed to fix it. My old 137 arrived yesterday too...i had forgotten how good those Lollars sound. http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/P1010023.jpg[/img] http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/P1010027.jpg[/img] http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/P1010029.jpg[/img] http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/P1010031.jpg[/img]

GuitArtMan Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I love Chap stick for lubricating my nuts as well. I've tried graphite and nut sauce and all the exotic stuff but keep coming back to Chap stick. It's cheap, not messy and does the job well.
shook494 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Nice. I gotta try that with my 150. I'm having problems with the high E.

shook494 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Sounds good. Nice new...or old....or new additions ;D That 137 is NICE!! I like the STAT too, but I'm in a single cut mood these days. I gotta get a pair of these Lollar's everyone is talking about.
brentrocks Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 the problem w/ the Stat is solved...it stays in tune really well now ...the nut must have been rusted up.
Cryoman Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Brentrocks, You can only wax your nut so long before you gotta bone it. Cheers, Cryoman
