MikeChandler Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Does anybody know if I need short shaft or long shaft pots for the H-150 CM LW manufactured in 2007? I know I could figure this out by tearing apart my guitar, but I'd rather not do that until I get the parts.
PunkKitty Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Most Heritages that I've seen use short shafts. I've rewired several 150's, a Millie, and a few semi hollows.
MikeChandler Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 Thank you! I picked up a set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers last night... I am going to order some push pull switches and wire it up Jimmy Page style. I'm really loving my H-150.
PunkKitty Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 It should be easy to check for sure. Just take off the back panel. If the pots are flush, they are short shaft. If they aren't, they are long shaft. You don't have to tear anything apart. Let us know what you think of the pickups after they are installed.
davesultra Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 The H-170LW that I used to own (and I believe PK owned at one time) had short shaft pots. All Heritage guitars I've swapped electronics on have used short shaft pots.
