Gitfiddler Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Just for fun...What's Your Dream Guitar Build By Heritage? OK, I'll start. Specs: Model: Millennium Pro (Eagle), single cutaway, bound f-holes Body: Black Korina Body, AAAA Flame Maple Top Neck: Bound Korina Neck w/'57 D shape Headstock: Slightly larger Heritage; Bound w/Pearl Inlay Heritage; Eagle Inlay Color: Vintage Burst Pickups: ThroBak 101 SLE's Hardware: Tone Pros (Chrome or Gold...undecided) This is all in fun, but if you already have your dream build, let's see it. OK...YOUR TURN!
davesultra Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Although I usually don't like crazy shapes, I'd say... Explorer body shape made of Korina. Natural finish Rosewood board with dots. ABR-1 & Stoptail 6 on a plate vintage style keys. Marv-carve neck ThroBak 101 SLE Pretty much a remake of an original '58 Explorer. Hell I'd even take it in Flying V form. It's not like they don't have a bunch of blank V bodies laying around in gathering dust.
DetroitBlues Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'll post a picture of my dream build when its completed in another month or so...
goSteelers Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 My dream build is a millenium size guitar, but constructed as a floating block semi-hollow (or even full hollow) -- like a Prospect, but millenium size. Not a semi-solid, like the millenium is, but a true semi or full hollow. I already asked -- they won't build it.
ridethatbike Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 My dream build is probably pretty close to Josh's.
Polo Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 My dream build is probably pretty close to Josh's. Dream on a budget! http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/30511-psa-2006-h535-wseth-lovers-redford-michigan/
Conneazoo Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Model: H-157 Body: Standard Neck: Standard Slim 60s profile Headstock: Painted to match body with Black logo and Black diamond. Black stinger. Black binding. Color: All gold top gold. Including back and sides. All binding in black. Pickups: SD 59s no covers black bobbins. Hardware: TonePros all black. These are the specs that were approved in November and cancelled 90 days after. I wish everyone the best of luck in getting what they truly want. I have something inbound that will get me there, I'm sure of it. While I will continue searching and pursuing Heritage guitars on the used market, Heritage won't see any money from me on a new or custom ordered instrument.

DetroitBlues Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 My dream build is probably pretty close to Josh's. What differences would you make?
ridethatbike Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 What differences would you make? I had to go search for your thread to be sure of the differences. There weren't many! Block inlays and nickel hardware. Everything else we're copacetic. Or syncopated. Something like that.
Gitfiddler Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Heritage already built my dream jazz guitar! This is what inspired this thread. Custom H-525 Sunset Burst, Choice Woods, Bound Neck/Headstock, Pearl Heritage headstock Inlay, Chunky '59 Marv-Carve Neck Profile and Pearl Mini-Block Inlays.

Custom H-525 Sunset Burst, Choice Woods, Bound Neck/Headstock, Pearl Heritage headstock Inlay, Chunky '59 Marv-Carve Neck Profile and Pearl Mini-Block Inlays. Mini blocks are an expensive upgrade! I wanted to recreate my first Heritage with a baseball bat neck, would of been cheaper to buy a 157LE that came out last year...
pressure Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Very nice Gitfiddler, I especially like the Mini-blocks. More wood less shell!
Yooper Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Heritage already built my dream jazz guitar! This is what inspired this thread. Custom H-525 Sunset Burst, Choice Woods, Bound Neck/Headstock, Pearl Heritage headstock Inlay, Chunky '59 Marv-Carve Neck Profile and Pearl Mini-Block Inlays. This is my next dream guitar. Or maybe an H-530 with P-90s. I already have a few dream guitars: Gold top H-150 with P-90s, ASB H-150 with SLE 101s, and ALSB Eagle Classic with Seths.
jimsoloway Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 A 525 with a 25.5" scale length and a single neck humbucker.

What exactly do you guys mean by the "Marv-Carv"?
Gitfiddler Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 What exactly do you guys mean by the "Marv-Carv"? Marv Lamb (The gentleman pictured above, holding my freshly painted, unfinished 525) is known for his skilled hand-rolled neck carves. Since he started working at the old Kalamazoo Gibson factory in the late 50's, he became associated with the thicker '50's neck profile on Les Pauls, etc. Many of us on the HOC have asked Marv to carve our guitar necks with that slightly chunkier shape and slight taper towards the nut. So we call his amazing neck shape a 'Marv Carve'.
