brentrocks Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Vince told me that there will be an ad in next months issue of Vintage Guitar mag. there will also be a line at the bottom of the ad directing people to the HOC!!!! how about that!!! one purpose of the ad will be to promote their latest Custom Shop Limited run...SOLD IN PAIRS, 25 pair limited run!!! Premium tops, trap inlays on both, premium matching pickguards, MOP head inlays, bound heads, cases included  :afro: http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/new.jpg[/img] Vince said that they are going to try to do a CS limited run every quarter....a new way to promote the quality of Heritage! and open peoples eyes to what great instruments they REALLY are! I'm taking my Silverburst down there this morning after a doc app. to try to get Vince to do a limited run of silverburst 150s....i think when he sees it he will be a believer ;D
Thundersteel Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I'd like to see them do a set with spalted maple tops--that would be something!
tulk1 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Wowzers!!!! And about time they stepped up and did something like that. Wish I could afford that pair. I think this would look awesome as a trio in my house. I wish!!! -->>>
big bob Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 what about a H.O.C. inlay at the twelveth fret..
Thundersteel Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 what about a H.O.C. inlay at the twelveth fret.. ...or a special HOC design on the headstock in MOP or abalone! Or, at least an HOC engraving on the TRC, such as "HOC Special Edition!"
Dick Seacup Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 That's a great looking pair of guitars and I'm glad they're going to advertise. I was reading an analysis last week or the week before that the "market leaders" during the great depression mostly sat on their laurels and didn't make it out the other side, while the small players continued to advertise and became the big companies we know and love today.
fxdx99 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Excellent!! Good choice by Vince and the gang - both the guitars and the magazine to reach their market. Throbak pickups?... all the more 'Heritage' for the Custom Shop (HCS).
Gitfiddler Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Awsome! That's right, Heritage, get the word out. Show the guitar buying/playing public what cha got! Looking at the pics, it's interesting that the H-150 has biege p'up surrounds and the H-535 has black. Kinda mis-matched on that small detail, but beautiful gitfiddles nonetheless. I'll have to wait for the 'buy one, get one free' sale. 8)
wingnut1 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Anyone need a kidney? I need to finance a purchase of a set of these special editions.
Kuz Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I thought you had to buy Heritages in pairs?!! http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/jjkuz/_DSC2182web.jpg[/img]
brentrocks Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 Just got back from Heritage...the silverburst was a big hit. I think it is a good possability that you will see a limited edition silverburst sometime in the future ;D there was a very sweet H 137 0n the workbench. Korina, natural, 3-piece neck, MOP head inlays, traps, 3 p90s! this guitar was incredible! (all i had was my camera from my phone) http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/Nov21_0008.jpg[/img] http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/Nov21_0007.jpg[/img] ...and if that wasnt enough excitment, a new up-and-comming Heritage endorsee, Frankie Balard stopped in w/ a handfull of Heritage for Ren to setup. He had a really killer VSB H150 w/ killer flame, a H137 TV yellow and a H 157 BB. Frankie was really cool...he and his band play out locally a lot around here...they are country/southern rock....i need to get out and see him, everybody says he is a awesome player! his 137 has a custom mod...... http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/Nov21_0009.jpg[/img] http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/Nov21_0010.jpg[/img]

High Flying Bird Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 there was a very sweet H 137 0n the workbench. Korina, natural, 3-piece neck, MOP head inlays, traps, 3 p90s! this guitar was incredible! (all i had was my camera from my phone) Ebony fret board too.

SouthpawGuy Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Kuz'll injure himself trying to get one of those! He'll have to join the queue !
fxdx99 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Nice pics, Brent. Thanks so much for those - very cool to see the guits and Heritage. Nice pic of Ren!! Yeh, the korina 137 is pretty cool (just one too many pickups in it... Big smile on the 'blues/country' marker on the toggle - Frankie's got a sense of humor we see. 8)
ShrimpStew Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I think the 3 p-90 137 looks awesome, I wonder does it have strat type pickup combinations, out of phase etc. That would be cool.
shook494 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I love that 137 with the three P-90's! Killer killer killer!!! At least they picked a good mag to do the ads in. I agree with what was mentioned before about a spalted maple top pair. That would be great!
golferwave Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Great pictures Brent ... Keep us posted on the custom editions that'll be coming out. Ren looks happy in his work as usual ... The ol fretfiler is in his element.

I did the photos for the ad. Even after running a commercial photo studio for 15 years shooting these guitars was a highlight. The quality is superb on both of these guitars. Being a guitar player and a photographer made doing these shots really fun. I also took some closer detail shots that really show the quality that goes into these. They sound and play great also. I played the 535 through a 3 hour band practice and it was a joy.
Thundersteel Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I wish they'd leave the pick guards in the cases, and let the owner decide whether or not they want them installed. >

I happened to be there visiting with Jay and Graham when they received them.....all I can say is-- Thank God I had left my checkbook at home..... I believe the pair I saw was Dark Almond Sunburst and absolutely gorgeous. Maybe Santa will be kind to me this year......yeah right. LOL Jim C
