SouthpawGuy Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 How about an area here on the HOC where Heritage could announce info, pics maybe, of upcoming limited runs ? A kind of "you heard it here first" sub forum. One or two of the Heritage guys do frequent the HOC, maybe it might be possible ? Just a thought.
fxdx99 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Hey Jon - great pics!! Looking forward to seeing them in VG. They do look like gorgeous guits from the pics. Which burst finish is that? But gee, that's too bad tho that you had to try out the 535 for them in a 3-hour tour... If that get's to be too much of a burden on you, just give me a call 8)
tulk1 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 . I played the 535 through a 3 hour band practice and it was a joy. Jon, so you're saying that's a used guitar in the photo? > I'd still take it. And hey, I'd never have mod'd your pic by throwing my guitar in there if I'd known you'd shot those. Well, I might still have, but I'd have thought longer on it. And I can imagine just how beautiful they are in person. We already know how well they'll play.
brentrocks Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/zzOther%20guitar%20stuff/Nov21_0008.jpg[/img] Holy $h!t ... I want one of those. Is that a one off or a prototype for a new model ? it is a special order from a dealer
GuitArtMan Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I miss my old 535 with trapezoid inlays. The traps are just such a classy yet not gaudy inlay. My favorite fingerbaord inlay for sure.
shook494 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 it is a special order from a dealer I wanna special order it for me > I've been dreaming about it ever since you posted it! Thanks Brent >
Kuz Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I wish they'd leave the pick guards in the cases, and let the owner decide whether or not they want them installed. > If you place the order before the guitar is made you can designate "No Pickguard" or "Do not install pickguard" I had that done with these.... No Pickguard holes Rules!!! 8) (I love any opportunity to show pics of the kids ;D) http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/jjkuz/MYPreciousjpg.jpg[/img] http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/jjkuz/_DSC1911-Edit2.jpg[/img]
brentrocks Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 I wanna special order it for me > I've been dreaming about it ever since you posted it! JohnCovach Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I just got my January 2009 issue of Vintage Guitar and the ad does not appear. But these things are planned several weeks ahead, so I expect we'll see it in the February issue, which subscribers will get in late December.
Gitfiddler Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Here is the PERFECT concept for a new Heritage advertising campaign! Just take out the Gibby 355 in this 1958 picture-postcard, and replace it with any one of Kuz's gitfiddles! 8) http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Blueline_06/355-Tpostcard.jpg[/img]
Dick Seacup Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 None of mine are red though. :'( Maybe the photog can get a model in "natural" to match one of your guitars. ???
Kuz Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Maybe the photog can get a model in "natural" to match one of your guitars. ??? Now, you're talking!
