H575: What Type of Finish?

I just bought a H575 archtop and was wondering what clear finish is used on them. I generally play my guitar sitting down and like to use a knee brace to bring it into a more upright position. These braces have clear rubber suction cups to hold them in place on the guitar and I'm concerned about harming the finish on the guitar. It seems as though the finish is pretty hard so I doubt there'd be any problem, but just thought I might check with all of you.

Nitrocellulose laquer. Certain rubber products can react with it and cause it to discolor, so you are right to be cautious.
