brentrocks Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I picked this up from a pawn shop near Green Bay, WI. It has a headstock repair, not a complete break, just a bad crack. Its a stock 1990 H 150 CM. I swapped out the schaller bridge and tailpiece for a Nashville. Everything else is factory. The neck is the typical medium/slim C carve, widely found on Heritages in the early 90s. It has a monster flame top done up in a very nice cherry sunburst....not the typical "clown burst"....it has a nice graduation of color. It weighs in at 9.5 lbs. 2 piece back. Grover tuners. Schaller pickups. It has the small heel, like the Gary Moores. It has a lot of honest play wear, but the top is not too bad. This 150 has a rich, creamy tone!!! Not all Schaller pickups sound good.....these do! A beautiful, cost effective and practical vintage Heritage!!!
DetroitBlues Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Headstock repair? That should help with the negotiated price. Very dark, smooth fretboard. Almost like ebony in some of your pics!
bolero Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 That is a really nice H150!! ( well, minus the ugly headstock repair ) those are some of my favourite era of H150, early '90's Beautiful Cherryburst on that, and great top wood congrats!
SouthernCanuck Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Looks like a "more ultra" top than my deluxe - love it! Now, where is the "School's Out" demo? [emoji2]
