Gitfiddler Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 OK, settle down boys and girls. This ain't another 'HHH' (Hate Heritage Headstock) thread! You'll need to go to other guitar forums for that. I just noticed that the 2015 30th Anniversary 555's have a larger headstock...and I really like the look on that model. Is this a different size than what comes on the archtops or the same? Can one custom order an 'in between' size headstock? (i.e. larger than standard, but smaller than full archtop size)
skydog52 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Hi Tim, The 30th head stock measures 8" long x 3 1/4" x 2 1/2". I don't have any Hollow body guitars in stock to compare to. Hope that helps. Paul
skydog52 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Just talked to Heritage. They actually answered the phone at 4:50. A first for me. The 30th head stock is the same size as the Eagle Models.
RickFinsta Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I wonder if this would be an additional upcharge when getting a 5-ply maple neck on a 140/150, since (my understanding is) they are using the neck blanks they use for the larger archtops anyways...
Gitfiddler Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Thanks for the info, Paul. The larger headstock looks great on the 30th models.
