yngwieaddict Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Hello, want to change the Grover tuners on my Heritage GM model, because 3 of them are cloth to the end....Of course will keep the old one, but can you you help me with the good reference to get brand new Grover tuners and so have the best quality and best tuning. (Think it's the Grover GR102-18C Rotomatics).I saw that Grover sell locking tuners (Rotogrip), but the diameter is 9,6mm (3,78 inch) and the genuine tuners on my Heritage are 10mm (3,94 inch) I guess. Thanks for the help.Pierre
DC Ron Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The GR102's should be drop in (no modification) replacements. Very few mods easier than replacing tuners with the same tuners. Enjoy!
TalismanRich Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I would probably go with the 102-18C as I like the higher ratio. Looking at the locking tuners, both the 502 and 102 show a 9.9mm diameter shaft. The 502 is slightly taller (0.5mm) but I doubt that would make a big difference. They should work fine.
yngwieaddict Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Thanks a lot for the help ;-) ! Will order the 102-18Cwith higher ratio which is perfect for a fine tuning !
