apo13 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Good evening (from Europe), I've the chance for a used 575. The box looks nice, price is right. But I've never seen such a serial no (see picture). question: fake or ok? Thx for your answers, alex
Millennium Maestro Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I suspect real, Heritage changed the serials like that for a short period.. the guitar was date 2006 Dec 6 2nd of the day. There will be a built tag inside the Body that should also verify the information. The one oddity for me is the USA stamp you usually see: Made in Kalamazoo MI, USA
apo13 Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Thx for Your answer. Yep "made in Kalamazoo, MI" is missing. Haven't seen a Heritage without that...hmm....
Hfan Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Thx for Your answer. Yep "made in Kalamazoo, MI" is missing. Haven't seen a Heritage without that...hmm.... Post more pictures if you have them. As said there should be a label inside the f hole and a COA hopefully in the case.
JeffB Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I think legit. Post a few pics of the whole guitar. The ocd members here can spot the real thing from sixty paces. Even just a fleeting glance as they drive past a pawn shop is enough for some. Some of them can just sniff them out. Ive never heard of a fake Heritage tbh.
Gitfiddler Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Looks like a nice Almond Burst, extra flamey Heritage H-575 with the old "H" tailpiece that is no longer in production. Some folks love them and wish they'd return. I believe supplier issues caused them to disappear. I was beginning to think we'd have to 'cut and paste' your previous mini-pics together to see the whole instrument.
Millennium Maestro Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I would have already jumped on buying that guitar!
TalismanRich Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 H tailpiece - Check Pickguiard - Check Heritage label - Check I concur. It looks to be the genuine article.

Alex is in Hamburg, so you probably should plan a little time for the trip! While you're at it, you could go down to the Indra club and play a few Beatles tunes!
