skydog Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 If Heritage unveils anything new at NAMM what would you like to see that's not currently offered?
Dick Seacup Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 A telecaster style, bolt neck guitar with 18v EMGs and onboard effects and a pointy headstock with six-on-a-side Sperzels! OK, seriously, I can't think of anything that's missing from their current line up. They have quite a few models I'd really like to own, in fact.
Gitfiddler Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 If Heritage unveils anything new at NAMM what would you like to see that's not currently offered? That is too easy! 1. Faster turnaround of standard/special/custom orders; 2. Improved instrument consistency (plek, handmade, whatever); 3. Better customer response and follow up; and finally... 4. A revised, dynamic and regularly updated website! The current stable of guitars is fine as far as I'm concerned, especially since the options and customization is so great. Just work on improving the business infrastructure, improved efficiency and I'd be happy.
Kazwell Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Semi-hollow body ala G 335 w BLOCK INLAYS standard!!!
JohnCovach Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I have to admit that I've always thought the standard inlays on the H555 were odd and not very attractive. I think they should make the block inlays standard on that model.
JohnCovach Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 And I'd also dump the standard Schaller hardware. Why sell a guitar that needs parts swapped out right away?
GuitArtMan Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Semi-hollow body ala G 335 w BLOCK INLAYS standard!!! A custom ordered a 535 with trap inlays and did it ever look sweet! But then I've always prefered traps to blocks.
GuitArtMan Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Maybe a variation on the SG. Maybe a variation on the Melody Maker. Maybe a variation in the Epiphoine Casino/ES-330 - thinline full hollowbody with P90s!
JohnCovach Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I've got a 575 Custom with the old diagonal-line position markers. I like the way those look and they're distinctive--much better than the inlays in the current 555 or even the blocks.
Thundersteel Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I'd like to see them make an electric bass! I'd also like to see them implement some sort of QA program to identify/eliminate finishing flaws.
Gitfiddler Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 How about a smaller bodied H555?! Here's one with a custom ordered 15" (almost Prospect size) body that is very cool looking. http://cgi.ebay.com/Heritage-H555-Semi-Hol...1QQcmdZViewItem (I am not affiliated with the seller)
squawken Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I'm going out on a limb here, but how about a Flying V?
JohnCovach Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Or maybe bringing back a limited run of 357's (firebird)?
doggy1972 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Someting with dynasonics and a bigsby A bit like this only nicer woods starfire special.jpg starfire special.jpg_thumb
Dick Seacup Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Or maybe bringing back a limited run of 357's (firebird)? I forgot about that one. With the recent interest in Juniors (seems like every boo-teak looter and their brother is building one) it's probably only a matter of time until SGs and Firebirds become the next big fad. Has Heritage ever done an SG?
tulk1 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Is there a double cut LP version in the Heritage line? 24 frets?
deluxemeat Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 aside from a guitar that dosn't take 16 mos to complete; yes a bass would be great! gibson no longer makes the eb2d... how about a FULL SCALE 535 bass?! ;D
PacerX Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Is there a double cut LP version in the Heritage line? 24 frets? Now we're talking. A double cut with a wider and flatter neck and 24 frets would be most welcome.
LH575 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 forget the new guitars. they need better customer service.
KarlS Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 [li]A small 555 as shown in gitfiddler's post.A Millenium Standard Ultra type small semi-hollow with a pointy cutaway as (on my H145CM) and with the better bridge Jay Wolfe has put on his Heritages by default. The cutaway shape (is it called "florentine"?) is just cosmetics. But hey, you asked 8)[/li][li][/li] Looking forward to what the NAMM will bring. Regards. Karl
Thundersteel Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 they need better customer service. +1. ...And better quality control.
Kazwell Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Howabout a robot guitar geared for the new generation of potential players too unmotivated (dimwitted?) to learn guitar unless it is tuned automatically for them....oh sorry I forgotl Gibson already thought of THAT one.;D
VJonathan Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Bespoke acoustic models of the Golden Eagle and Super Eagle!
