Polo Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Introducing: a newly refinished H-137 Korina New Skin: Old Skin: Good Times.
Yooper Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 That is sooooo sweet! What is the burst finish called?
Polo Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 That is sooooo sweet! What is the burst finish called? Thanks Yoop!! I couldn't be more pleased with how things turned out. Dave at Heritage did a great job taking this one from an all natural finish with quite possibly the worst fit and finish I'd ever seen on a Heritage with plenty of "character" to a flawless OSB. She's even got herself a legitimate Serial Number now! Thanks again team Heritage!!
bsck1 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Congratulations. Takes some real courage to jump into a complete refinish, and yours was aptly rewarded. This is drop dead gorgeous! Enjoy for years and years and years.
Millennium Maestro Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Did they do that at the factory? NICE Bringing her to PSP?
schundog Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 What an incredible transformation! I love the sound, feel, and vibe of my 137, but I've always been kind of "Meh" on the finish. I really like that you did to that thing. Congratulations!
Gtwibs Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Looks like a great refin! I must say though, there's something charming about the natural with block inlays. If it was poorly done though, right on with a classy looking update!
High Flying Bird Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 A much better finish. Congrats! I too hope you make it to PSP.
Millennium Maestro Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I love when someone cares enough about their instruments to make them right!
Stringman Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I agree with all here: Beautiful Guitar Makeover. Are you going to keep the knobs the way they are? Or are you going to go one way or the other with them? Just curious. .
FredZepp Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I'm not one to re-finish instruments unless it needs it, but that one came out great. For me, I certainly dig that sunburst finish. Very very nice... it does make the guitar more desirable for me. Excellent results.
ElNumero Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Nice job, but have you noticed that the knobs do not match? Hmmmm...
Polo Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 Thanks for the kind words folks! FYI- Those knobs in the photos have since been replaced with standard black top hats. I was just trying out some other looks. Top Hats 4 Life!!!!
