HANGAR18 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 I just realized today that there has never been a 535 that I didn't like. On the other hand, I've seen and owned a number of other guitars that I either didn't buy because of something I didn't like about it or sold at some point because there was something about it that I just didn't like. However, I've seen a lot of 535's for sale and I do not recall ever seeing a single 535 that I thought "ewww, I don't like ____________ about that guitar." I've owned two 535's. One I still own, and the other, selling it left me wounded, regretting that I ever sold it in the first place. 535's are fantastic! Everyone needs to own at least one. If you love 535's, I invite you to post your pictures in this thread. 555's are okay too. This is the one I got from Cajun Dave. This is the one I still own which I got from Jay. Lastly, here is some free Heritage guitar porn. https://youtu.be/OdQokrRQLQc
FredZepp Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 It would be hard to pick between those two excellent examples, I would certainly be very happy with either one. For me, I joined the Prospect club and haven't looked back.

Vanschoyck Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 My only vice: H535 in defense of music is no vice.
JeffB Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 This H535 reminds me of "the one that got away". It sat on display for 2years. It was a wonderful guitar but the headstock was wrong for your average player. I finally reduced the price to cover costs and still it sat there. Only myself and a guy that worked in another store "got it". I just wasnt in a semi hollow state of mind at the time and seemed to be loving and buying a lot of strats and amps. We stopped stocking any Heritages and it was the last one left. I was just about to give up and just take it home when I got an email or phone call regarding it and me being enthused by the guitar and Heritage in general and him also being a previous Heritage owner it went. And then I realised that was it. It was gone. Done. Over. Now Im all about 535's 335's. Au$ shot to ribbons and Im not in the industry anymore so no staff deals. Missed opportunity right there.

yoslate Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I've been more than fortunate to have owned a pile of really good wood over the past fifty years. Of all those pieces, this 535 is the best instrument of the lot. I have other guitars which do one thing better, but no package like this one!
craigabrammer Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Some beautiful instruments on this thread, y'all. Congrats everybody [emoji1306] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Millennium Maestro Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I love the 555/535 product line! I will also share my beloved girl!
DetroitBlues Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Hey guys btw, anybody know what kind of pickups I got on this? Not that sharp on my guitar tech Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You'll have to pull the pickups to see the back side of them to know for sure. Look like Seymour Duncan Alnico Pros or a Slash set.... Just a guess.
FredZepp Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Hey guys btw, anybody know what kind of pickups I got on this? Not that sharp on my guitar tech If it was something factory installed that was unusual , it would likely be noted on the label inside. If aftermarket, could be one of many zebra humbuckers...
Millennium Maestro Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 My guess is SD 59's based off the tailpiece and the era they used that as standard equipment.
111518 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Not the greatest photo, but here's mine, a custom order from Wolfe (basically his 35 Special with an ebony board). It took a little while for this guitar to settle in, but it has become an all-time favorite.
hobokenheritage Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I'll toss my two 535's into the ring - one purchased new and one used, love 'em both. These are definitely my favorite body style (also have a 530 for that P90 fever). The wooden pick guards on these guitars is one of the most stunning additions that I don't think I've ever seen another manufacturer do, especially as a typical (if not default) option.
