An old friend comes home

I sold this 2000 Prospect to Schundog back in 2012. Since then, I've gone through a few Heritages. I sold my 150 earlier this year to pay some bills with the promise that I'd get another Heritage someday. Someday is today. Schundog was kind enough to sell the Prospect back to me.

This will be the last guitar that I purchase to keep for quite a while. I still have Eljay's Carvin CS4 coming. And I'll still buy guitars to flip. But the only thing I plan to buy in the future is a H150LW. And that's more than a year away.

Prospects are a blast !! Congrats on getting yours back. I'm sure Brian kept it in good shape and in tune , as that's just his way of doing things.

I'm glad it worked out, Monica; great to see you today. Last night, after we finalized the logistics of our meet-up, I told my wife about the sale, and that you had originally sold it to me several years ago. She asked "What's going on with these previous owners wanting their old guitars back?!" I smiled, thought about it, and said that, for Heritage lovers like us, we experience SELLER'S Remorse, not BUYER'S Remorse. I believe it, too. Shook494 on here sold me a sweet H-150 that I foolishly sold due to a thinner neck. He contacted me months later wanting to buy it back, but it was gone. Monica had sold me an H-170 a couple of years back, and inquired about getting it back, too, but alas, it had found a new home. holyroller sold me the purple H-150, and relentlessly pursued it's recapture. I guess it's a good lesson to learn; don't sell any of your Heritages unless you are absolutely sure you can live without it!!

Oh, and Rob, I love you, too, man! :laughing7:

I just put on new strings, tightened some screws, and changed the strap lock buttons to Dunlops. It's amazing how good it sounds and feels with new strings. I don't remember Duncan 59's sounding that good.

Thanks again, Brian. This guitar is home to stay.

That Prospect could use some company from an old friend. A Millie. Glad you got one back that you had before. I just went through a similar series of transactions. I am sure you will like it better the second time around (at least that is what I keep telling myself).

I stretched my budget to afford the Prospect. Another guitar is out of the question at the moment. Like I said, I'm planning to find a used H-150LW at some point next year. Now just isn't the time. The Prospect will just have to be content sitting in the stand next to my Washburn and my SG. Maybe that will make it angry. Angry guitars are good.

The 59's in that guitar sound GREAT! In your face, but not shrill or "Metal-y." And yeah, it was due for new strings.

Congratulations Monica! And it's way cool to see the guitars on this forum go back and forth to previous members. I actually heard of one member who owned and reowned the same guitar 4 times. While we are on the topic, my list of Heritage seller's remorse guitars would be my HB-1 that Brent sold me, my VSB 525 and my trans red 535.
