Hi everyone

I'm new in the forum

I've just purchased an Eagle built in 1992, mahogany made.

I've seted it with Thomastik Swing 012 and it sounds AMAZING when played acoustic

Sounds ok when I play it in my tube amp (Koch twin tone I combo).

I'm not familiar with this PU

Does anyone could give some tips for the amp to use?

Maybe I should try with an Acus, that is the best acoustic-guitar amp I know

Thanks in advice!

My face will turn blue for sure, but here goes. I've had two guitars with floating pickups and I couldn't get happy with the sound of them until I got my Evans amp. http://www.evansamps.com

I would also consider Henrikson. https://henriksenamplifiers.com

I think you're basically on the right track with the acoustic guitar amp idea.

Congrats on the new guitar and good luck!

Thanks! I'm already looking for a Henrikson 310!

I don't tried an Evans amp already.

It's called AE200, it's about 16 year old. It should be pretty similar to the RE300 that they sell now.

Your floating pickup appears to be one of Heritage's models that either they designed or modified. They were typically numbered (#1, #2 or #3).

I had a #3 floater on my '93 Golden Eagle. It sounded OK, but not what I wanted, so it came off and replaced with a custom wound Kent Armstrong.

That being said, I'd recommend first trying another amp with your current p'up before investing in another pickup.
