Hi all

Thinking about getting a custom Prospect built, so looking at specs.

Did i read somewhere that Heritage do a bound 'oversized headstock' option?

Anyone know how these compare to the usual headstock? Got any photos?

Cheers

There are different size headstocks. If you compare the standard 535 to the Roy Clark model, you will see the difference. Just go to the website, the 555 and RC are next to each other under semi hollows.

I'm still stunned Rich!

Here is my 555 with the oversize head stock with my 150 with a normal head stock. I think the larger size looks to be in better proportion to the larger body size of the 555.

Dave, I really wish I could have seen you win that thing! With the bound headstock, that baby is off-the-hook Bad-Ass!! My 575 has a larger headstock than my other Heritages, but the binding of the headstock on yours really makes it pop.

One thing I know is, this thread is giving me Triple-Nickel G.A.S.!!

It doesn't matter when you play them. It all feels the same. The larger headstock guitar I have played didn't give me enough more or less counter weight than the standard when doing tremolo and shaking the neck. It is all cosmetic.

But with Heritage guitars the cosmetics seem to mean something. That is another thing that makes them special.
