Gitfiddler Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Title says it all. There are many Heritage artists, but most do not get a ton of mainstream attention. Let's see who YOUR favorites are. Post Videos or Photos or Names. My favorite is Henry Johnson. Check out this live version of "Caravan" he swings on his Heritage Henry Johnson Signature archtop.
rwinking Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 What a great sound! Do you know what pick up they put in that guitar? I thought I saw a Fender Super Reverb in this video and seem to remember that Wes Montgomery also used a Super for a while.
Conneazoo Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Absolutely no doubt or hesitation whatsoever......... Alex Skolnick
golferwave Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 THIS IS MY FAVORITE HERITAGE "ARTIST" That guy looks familiar Brent. He's famous isn't he?

Henry uses HRW's, tapes his F-holes...and yes, he sounds amazing, even on a crappy, compressed phone-video!!
TalismanRich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Without a doubt, it would be this fellow.
TalismanRich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Speaking of Heritage artists, I missed out on David Becker's visit to my local Heritage dealer last Thursday. Too many things going on, and I missed the email announcing his concert and workshop at Steilbergs String Instruments. I was seriously bummed!!!
TalismanRich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 THIS IS MY FAVORITE HERITAGE "ARTIST" I always get these two confused!
schundog Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I always get these two confused! Rob is better; 200 better, in fact. 535-335=200.
Gitfiddler Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Kenny Burrell Oh yes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9lLqtOb9rk#t=29
brentrocks Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 My favorite Heritage ENDORSED artist.... Definately Mr. Lewis
rwinking Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I looked up VInce Lewis and he is kind of an endorsement slut! Heritage, Benedetto, Eastman, Breedlove and Ralston?
skydog52 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 My favorite is local to me and one fine Gentleman! I attended the Kerrytown concert. Great night! It is the second video. John E. Lawrence https://youtu.be/sg7nuMiW7Is https://youtu.be/IPS-vW3zxJU
Gitfiddler Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 I looked up VInce Lewis and he is kind of an endorsement slut! Heritage, Benedetto, Eastman, Breedlove and Ralston? Vince is a long time HOC member, who has even attended previous PSP events. My take on artist endorsements is that it is a positive business move for professional musicians.
TalismanRich Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I looked up VInce Lewis and he is kind of an endorsement slut! Heritage, Benedetto, Eastman, Breedlove and Ralston? He's been with Heritage a LONG time...something like 25 years. His Ralston, Eastman and Breedlove endorsements are only in the past several years. Vince even came to PSP a couple of years, and offered us LOTs of Jazz workbooks, charts etc. He's a REAL class act. Check back in the PSP III and IV thread to watch some of his videos, FWIW, if Bob Benedetto wanted to do a signature guitar for me, I would take it in a New York minute!
rwinking Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Calling someone an endorsement slut is not a slam. I would be one also! In a New Your Minute!
Yooper Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Calling someone an endorsement slut is not a slam. I would be one also! In a New Your Minute That's new to me. How about for the ladies? That is, if any of them have read this far. I honestly felt that was unseemly. Perhaps I'm just too old for the hip new terminology indicating respect. Sometimes I really don't get it. Vince is a first class musician, and even better person. (This is how we old fogies compliment someone.)
HANGAR18 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 That is the sound that I associate with Heritage guitars. I think if Heritage had a signature sound, THAT would be it right there!
brentrocks Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I looked up VInce Lewis and he is kind of an endorsement slut! Heritage, Benedetto, Eastman, Breedlove and Ralston? Maybe you should retract that statement. You are way out of line.
