nut width standards over time

looking at heritage 535s, found one recently 1990 w/nut width = 1 9/16. raises a question -

do standards exist for heritage guitars on this measurement? have those standards been modified over time?
can anyone specify standards with respect to years of production?

They absolutely have standards, They do a 1 11/16 nut on all guitars the exception is a special order... They charge extra and have to give a modded nut special attention on the entire manufacturing process.
