t0aj15 Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Got this one today, another pedal that doesn't quite rate as an effect but very cool none the less. TC Electronics Wiretap Riff Recorder. Great for song writing, practicing etc. http://www.tcelectronic.com/wiretap-riff-recorder/
HANGAR18 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Holy crap! I need one of those. Every time I go a long time without picking up the guitar, some really cool riff comes out of nowhere as soon as I plug in again... and then it's gone forever. hahaha
t0aj15 Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it, I've lost to many good ideas because I didn't record them and ended up losing them forever... NO MORE.
rwinking Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Line 6 had something similar to this a few years back called the Backtrack.. Somebody was blowing them out really cheap and I picked one up for like $20 or something. They are kind of cool. Plug in at the beginning of a gig and it just records everything you do. I don't know if they still make them or not. http://line6.com/backtrack/
HANGAR18 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 But now I have a question... Does it only record the string manipulation? Since I have a bunch of amps and use a lot of different amp settings, do I have to just remember which amp and which amp settings I used when I recorded the riff on in order to get the same results?
t0aj15 Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016 It is quite simply a 1 track digital recorder, what goes in, is what comes out. As for the efx chain, amp setting, etc., that's up to you. Right now I've got it last in line on my pedal-board. so I can also record that part of the signal chain.
